New Years... I know it's a little late =)

I had the most beautiful day yesterday! I know most people think the whole New Year's resolutions are overrated, but I love this time of year. It gives me a chance to look back on the past year and make some plans for the future. Well, since I knew I was going to be gone for the first couple weeks of the New Year, I told myself I would delay my New Year thinking until I could really put some thought into it. So, yesterday I had the most beautiful morning with just my hammock, my camera, my journal and my thoughts. It's amazing how much more you can hear God when you make yourself be still and quiet. I woke up bright and early to watch the sunrise at my favorite spot. It was unlike any sunrise I have ever seen. It started off with some clear sky's but the fog and clouds quickly moved in. After the clouds broke I got in the kayak and headed out to a little island. I really can't not even begin to tell you how refreshing it was to be out there. I can now say I am ready for 2008.
