My Birthday

Little warning: This post is a little long but it's my birthday post so I am going to post it anyways =)

So, I turned the big 28 on Sunday and had the most beautiful day. One of my favorite things to do is to watch the sunrise. So I headed over to watch the sunrise at the house of my good friends Bethany and Lisa.

(I forgot my camera so I took this with my phone)

Lisa has been reading from the book "God Calling." There are different passages to read on each day of the year, so while sipping tea and watching the sunrise she read me the passage for April 13th.

Gentle with All
"Love and laugh. Make your world the happier for you being in it. Love and rejoice on the grey days.
There are wilderness days for my diciples as well as montains of transfiguration, but on both it is duty, persistently, faithfull done, that tells.
Be Gentle with all. Try to see the heart I see, to know the pain and difficulty of the other life, that I know. Try, before you interview anone, or speak to anyone, to ask me to act as interpreter between you two.
Just live in the spirit of prayer. In speaking to Me, you find soul-rest. Simple tasks, faithfull done and persisted in, bring their own reward, and are mosaics being laid in the pavement of success.
Welcome all who come here. I love you."

Those who know me, know that this is my heart's cry. I want people to know the stories of others.

If that wasn't enough =)... A little later that morning I headed to church. Pastor Tony Hammon (my uncle) spoke a beautiful sermon and towards the end he actually looked at us sitting in the front row and said "If money wasn't in the picture what would you do?" He then looked right at me and said "Michelle, what would you do." He looked to a couple more people and asked them the same thing. Of course it wasn't one of those questions you answer out loud but it was something I knew the answer to right away.

I would tell their stories.
