My "Vacation?"

I know I haven’t posted anything in a few weeks so I am doing a little catch up right now. At the end of June I took off for a much needed vacation for about two weeks. The “much needed vacation” ended up being quite an adventure. After being stranded in the Atlanta airport for 13 hours, trying to get to Kentucky, my uncle who happened to be at his place in Georgia about an hour and a half outside of Atlanta, came and picked me up. This was of course after quite a few hours of tears and wondering what airport chair I was going to sleep in that night. The next few days I spent in the mountains at my uncles. I of course had no luggage because my bags were sent to Kentucky (Which I never got to KY and I didn’t get my luggage for a week) but it ended up being a blessing to have no distractions, just God’s still quite voice. I was also blessed to spend some beautiful and forever memorable moments with my 13-year-old cousin Annie. So, although I did not plan to go to Georgia, God was right in sending me there. I just wish he had told me instead of stranding me in the Atlanta airport. It would have been a much easier transition. =)
Well, after a few days there, my uncle drove a couple hours north and my parents drove a couple hours south and did a “Michelle” exchange. =) From there we headed up to a cabin that my family had for the week in Tennessee. One of my brothers and his family were already there waiting. We had a beautiful time playing horseshoes, hiking, ping-pong, photographing with my brother and my nephew, and just spending time together as a family. Although the trip was nothing like I expected, it was exactly what I needed. I of course took a ton of photographs while I was there. So, I figured I would share a few with you.

My little cousin Annie!

My beautiful niece Riley can sure make a mean face.

But she also has a gorgeous smile.

My handsome nephew Wyatt with his gorgeous eyes.

My dad and his granddaughter.
My families “4th of July” Photo. We didn’t get to send a family Christmas letter out for 2006 so we sent a “4th of July” letter out and I helped my mom put the photos together while in the cabin. She loves having a photographer in the family.
